Description

Red Neck Wild is a rocambole purple stripe garlic growing wild in a wetland in Klamath County Oregon. A homestead was abandoned in the area about 1908 and we believe the farm garden is the origin of the garlic. In 2010 we harvested the bulbils from the wild garlic and planted a nursery plot. The next year we harvested rounds about the size of a marble and the third year we harvested very large, uniform bulbs! Red Neck is a vigorous grower with a pungent spicey taste. We continue to collect bulbils and grow in a 3 year rotation in an effort to keep it WILD.
